Eternity Decision
The question that all wonder is: "Is there a life after death?"
The real question we need to ask: "Is there Heaven waiting for me?"

Well, the answer is found in the Bible.
John 14:1-2
"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in GOD, believe also in me [Jesus].
In my Father's house are many mansions [rooms]: if it were not so, I would have told you.
I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know."

So, there is a heaven to look forward to, but just as we have rules in our houses, there are rules to enter into heaven. Well, preacher, what are they?
There is only one rule, thankfully, let's continue in this passage to verse 7.

John 14:5-7
"Thomas [one of the twelve disciples] saith unto him [Jesus], Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him."

There you have it, the answer is to follow the Way of Jesus the Son of GOD.
How do I do that?

1) Realize you have broken GOD's laws and are called a sinner.
Romans 3:10-12
"As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
Romans 10:23
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"

2) Realize your need for a Savior [Rescuer]. Just as a Firefighter, Police Officer, Good Samaritan, and Soldier is there to rescue you without anything in return: Jesus came to earth as the one who would take your sins upon Himself and grant unto you eternal life.
Romans 6:23
Remember John 14? Jesus said He was the Way. Only through the Son of GOD can we have eternal life. Why? Because at the beginning of it all when man was first created he chose to disobey GOD and rebel against GOD's love, protection, and direction. Which brought judgment to him and his descendants; but GOD also made a way of escape from eternal judgment through the gift of salvation in His Son Jesus.
Romans 8:12

3) Realize, Repent [change], and Recieve
Realized the simple truth that you are a sinner in need of a Savior.
Repent from the life of sin to a life of salvation through Jesus Christ and Receive the gift of salvation.
John 3:16
Romans 6:23
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
How do I do that? How do I receive Jesus as my Savior? The answer, is just ask.
Romans 10:9-10
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
It's easy you must come to Jesus, realizing your need the gift of salvation because of your sin against GOD, and with a sincere heart ask. Turning away from the old life and now move to a new life with Jesus Christ as your Savior.
2 Corinthians 5:17
1 John 5:10-13
And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
If you need help praying, here is a sample prayer to ask GOD for the gift of salvation. Remember, you must mean it from the heart, otherwise, it means nothing and in vain.

Heavenly Father, I realize I am a sinner in need of a Savior. Jesus, I ask for the gift of salvation. I believe Jesus is the Son of GOD, who rose from the grave and is the Savior of my soul. Thank you Jesus for saving my soul and granting me eternal life. Help me to live a new life pleasing to our Heavenly Father. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen.

If you have prayed a prayer like this or used this one and meant it, then I welcome you to your new life in Christ and welcome you to our spiritual family. You are invited to come and give us your testimony of what has happened to you so that we at First Baptist Church of Knox, can rejoice as the angels in Heaven rejoice!
